Dehradun: To fulfill the resolution of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to develop India by 2047, work should be done rapidly in every field. For developed Uttarakhand, what will be the form from village level to district level by 2047, work should be done by the District Magistrates in this direction. Along with reaching out to the people at the last end of the society and connecting them with public welfare schemes, work should be done in the direction of connecting them to the mainstream. These instructions were given by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to all the District Magistrates during a virtual meeting from the Chief Minister’s residence on Monday.
Work on 5-5 innovations in public interest in each district
The Chief Minister directed the District Magistrates to work on 5-5 best practices and innovations related to public interest in their districts. He said that the three districts that become TB free first in the state will be rewarded. Along with running regular cleanliness campaigns, the Chief Minister has instructed all the District Magistrates to run plantation campaigns on a large scale in the districts from World Environment Day on 05 June to 25 July. Along with specially encouraging the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign, awareness campaigns should be run for plastic free Uttarakhand. Regular monitoring of the conservation of water sources and the progress of Amrit Sarovars should be done and nodal officers should be appointed for this in each district.
All necessary arrangements should be made keeping in mind the monsoon season.
The Chief Minister said that the Indian Meteorological Department has issued a warning of above average rainfall in the state during the monsoon period. Keeping this in mind, full preparations should be made. It should be ensured that the drains are cleaned before the onset of monsoon. Keeping in mind the monsoon season, smooth arrangements of drinking water, electricity, roads should be ensured. Water tanks should be kept clean. The Chief Minister said that all necessary arrangements should be ensured to prevent dengue, malaria and corona.
All necessary arrangements should be tested in hospitals. The disaster management system should be kept on alert mode in all the districts. Toll-free numbers should be activated in all districts and tehsils. So that citizens can get immediate help in case of emergency. He said that special vigilance and activeness should be exercised on the Chardham Yatra route. Traffic, health and security system should be further strengthened.
Special campaign should be run to remove illegal encroachment along the roads.
The Chief Minister said that a comprehensive awareness campaign should be run in all the districts for International Yoga Day. Yoga camps should be organized on a large scale. On the occasion of Kainchi Dham Foundation Day to be held on June 15, along with traffic system, temporary parking places should be arranged as per the requirement for traffic management. Verification drive should be conducted more effectively and at a faster pace. Strict campaign should be continued against illegally made Aadhar cards, Ayushman cards, ration cards and other documents. Special campaign should be run to remove illegal encroachment along the roads. Boards and banners related to 1064 helpline should be clearly displayed in government offices and people should be made aware for corruption free Uttarakhand.
Along with promoting indigenous products, special attention should be paid to one district two products.
The Chief Minister said that indigenous products should be promoted and a campaign should be run to make people aware of this. Special attention should be paid to one district two products. Local products should be used in government programs, this should be fully followed. The Chief Minister’s announcements should be reviewed regularly by the District Magistrates. All District Magistrates should pay special attention to the status of land bank in their districts. More efforts should be made towards rainwater harvesting. The Chief Minister said that all kinds of protective measures should be taken for forest fire management as well.
Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu, Vice President MDDA Banshidhar Tiwari, Kumaon Commissioner Deepak Rawat and all District Magistrates were present in the meeting through virtual medium.
