Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid tribute to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi at the Chief Minister’s residence on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. The Chief Minister said that Gandhiji’s principles of truth and non-violence are still relevant today. We must inculcate the spirit of non-violence in our conduct and cultivate compassion for humanity. This will be our true tribute to him.

The Chief Minister paid tribute to former Prime Minister Late Lal Bahadur Shastri on his birth anniversary. The Chief Minister said that by giving the slogan “Jai Jawan Jai Kisan,” Shastriji showed the nation the path to stand strong with self-respect and unity. The remarkable example of simplicity, truthfulness, dedication, morality, and devotion to the nation he set in public life is inspiring to all of us.

The Chief Minister said that through his path of truth, non-violence, and sacrifice, Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi gave the message of peace and unity to the entire world. His philosophy of life continues to give a new direction to society even today. The Chief Minister called upon everyone to adopt Gandhiji’s ideas in their lives. He said that it is through Gandhiji’s inspiration that we receive the message of cleanliness, self-reliance, and simplicity, which are the foundation of nation building.

At the Martyr’s Place in the Court Complex…

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid tribute to the martyrs of the state movement at the Martyr’s Place in the Court Complex in Dehradun on Thursday. The Chief Minister paid floral tributes to the martyrs’ portraits and paid homage to their indomitable courage and sacrifice.

The Chief Minister stated that the creation of Uttarakhand was possible only due to the struggle and sacrifice of the state movement activists. He stated that the state government is committed to the welfare of the agitators and the families of the martyrs and will continue to make every possible effort to protect their interests and dignity. The Chief Minister stated that the true tribute would be the creation of a prosperous and self-reliant Uttarakhand, in accordance with the dreams of the martyrs. State movement activists and district administration officials were present on the occasion.
