Dehradun: Today is the foundation day of Uttarakhand. Today the state of Uttarakhand has entered its 25th year after completing 24 years of its establishment. Uttarakhand was established on 9 November 2000. At the time of establishment, the state was named Uttaranchal. Later it was changed to Uttarakhand. Actually the movement was run in the name of Uttarakhand Rajya Andolan.
The state of Uttarakhand, formed on this day in 2000, has turned 25 years old. Today Uttarakhand has reached the silver jubilee year of its establishment. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has congratulated the people of the state on this occasion. CM Dhami wrote on his social media platform X-
CM Dhami congratulated: ‘Hearty congratulations and best wishes to all the people of the state on the Uttarakhand State Foundation Day being celebrated as ‘Devbhoomi Silver Festival’. In these 24 years, the state has created a special identity by setting new dimensions of progress.’
‘It is the result of the efforts of our double engine government and the cooperation of all you people of the state that today Uttarakhand is becoming a leader in every field. Especially, many concrete steps have been taken towards empowering the youth and women of the state.’
‘We are continuously working towards the creation of a strong, safe and prosperous Uttarakhand by assimilating the basic mantra of “Sankalp se Siddhi, Pragati Sang Samriddhi”. Come, on the occasion of Foundation Day, let us all together pledge to contribute to the development of the state and move forward towards making an advanced, strong and self-reliant state.’

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has congratulated the people of the state on Uttarakhand Foundation Day. He wrote on his social media handle X- ‘Heartiest greetings on the foundation day of the state to the sisters and brothers of Uttarakhand, a sacred place of natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. I pray to Baba Kedarnath that Devbhoomi, famous for its immense faith in religion and culture and deep love for nature, continues to move forward towards touching the heights of progress and prosperity under the guidance of Modi ji and the leadership of @pushkardhami ji.’
