Dehradun: Manjubala, a female teacher from Champawat district of Uttarakhand, was awarded the National Teacher Award 2025 in Delhi. Manish Mamgain, Training Officer of NSTI Dehradun, was honored for his outstanding contribution in education and skill development. President Draupadi Murmu honored both of them from Uttarakhand with the National Teacher Award. In a special program held in New Delhi, President Draupadi Murmu addressed teachers from all over the country. During this, she praised the teachers working in the field of education.
During this, President Draupadi Murmu said that the biggest award for teachers is that their students remember them throughout their lives and make commendable contributions to the family, society and the country.
Addressing the program, President Draupadi Murmu said –
According to our ancient tradition of ‘Acharya Devo Bhava’, I, on behalf of all the countrymen, pay my respectful homage to the sacred memory of Dr. Radhakrishnan ji for his noble idea of giving utmost importance to the teacher.
President Draupadi Murmu said –
I believe that education, like food, clothing and shelter, is also essential for the dignity and security of a person. Sensitive teachers work to instill a sense of dignity and security in children.
President Draupadi Murmu also said that the education of girls should be given the highest importance. By investing in the education of daughters, we make an invaluable investment in the building of our family, society and nation. President Draupadi Murmu said that the objective of the National Education Policy is to make India a Global Knowledge Superpower. For this, it is imperative that our teachers are recognized as the best teachers in the world.
Let us tell you that Manjubala, who was honored with the National Teacher Award 2025 in Delhi, is from Champawat district. She is posted as the Principal in Churani Primary School. In 2011, she started the first English medium school in the district.
