Dehradun: On Monday, a spectacular drone light show was held in Dehradun to mark the silver jubilee of Uttarakhand’s establishment. Organized by the Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority (UCADA) on the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, over 300 drones illuminated the sky, creating dozens of captivating artworks.
The show showcased the state’s rich cultural heritage, spiritual identity, and natural beauty. The show began with a scene dedicated to Uttarakhand, beautifully depicting the descent of Mother Ganga from Lord Shiva’s locks. This was followed by “25 Years of the Establishment of Uttarakhand State,” “Om Galaxy,” “Trishul and Damru,” and spectacular views of Kedarnath and Badrinath shrines.
The drones artistically created scenes depicting the state bird, the Himalayan Monal, the traditional Chholia dance, Uttarakhand folk instruments, and a male figure in Kumaoni traditional attire. The show concluded with a display of helicopter aviation and the Uttarakhand Civil Aviation logo, symbolizing the state’s progress, reach, and new flight. This spectacular event featured 300-400 drones manufactured under the “Make in India” initiative.
S.S. Tolia, Additional Chief Executive Officer, UCADA, said that Uttarakhand is not only a land of divinity and natural beauty, but also a land of innovation and progress. He said, “This drone light show ushers in a new era of creative tourism experiences. Today, as we celebrate 25 years of statehood, we are moving forward into the future, bringing tradition and technology together.”
