‘UCC made on Ambedkar’s provisions, no target’, Dhami’s answer to Owaisi’s questions

Dehradun: Uniform Civil Code is going to be implemented in Uttarakhand soon. UCC rules have also been approved by Dhami cabinet. Meanwhile, Uttarakhand UCC law was described as anti-Muslim by IMIM (All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen) MP Asaduddin Owaisi, to which Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s response came today.

In fact, on January 21, Asaduddin Owaisi was questioned about Uttarakhand UCC in Lucknow, to which Asaduddin Owaisi said that UCC is being brought only to prevent Muslims from marrying, divorcing and dividing property in their religious way. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that his government is implementing the same UCC, which was provided by Baba Saheb Ambedkar himself in Article 44 of the Constitution. His government has made an act of the same. A draft committee was first formed for the UCC. After that, there were talks with wide stakeholders. Then finally the UCC was implemented.

Targeted Asaduddin Owaisi

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has made it clear that there is no such thing as targeting anyone in the UCC. Such things have been only those people who have become contractors of some votes, and who used to instigate some people. But his government is working to give equal rights to everyone. Especially for the rights of half the population of the country i.e. women, his government has brought the UCC law in Uttarakhand.

During this, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has claimed the victory of BJP in the Uttarakhand civic elections. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that in all the elections of Uttarakhand, the people of Devbhoomi have given their blessings to BJP. The public will support BJP in the civic elections. After the formation of the triple engine government, development in Uttarakhand will increase rapidly.
