Dehradun: The Subordinate Services Selection Commission, which had claimed to be preparing for the exam with complete transparency until a day earlier, abruptly postponed the October 5th exam on Wednesday evening. The Commission cited incomplete preparations and the candidates’ demands as the reasons.
The Subordinate Services Selection Commission, embroiled in controversy due to the recommendation of an SIT and CBI investigation into the graduate-level exam paper leak, has emphasized the need to conduct future exams efficiently.
As part of this, preparations were made at all levels. The Cooperative Inspector Class-2 and Assistant Development Officer Cooperative exams were scheduled for October 5th. The exam preparations were reviewed first at the Commission’s board meeting and then under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan.
Commission Chairman G.S. Martolia stated that preparations for the exam were complete. Candidates would have to arrive at the exam center two hours in advance. However, the exam was abruptly postponed on Wednesday.
Commission Secretary Dr. Shiv Kumar Barnwal stated that the examination has been postponed based on suggestions and feedback from candidates and to strengthen preparations at the Commission’s level. Whether the October 12th examination will be held will be clarified later.
