Under the “Government for the People, at the Doorstep of the People” campaign, 254,137 citizens participated

Dehradun: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the “Government for the People, at the Doorstep of the People” program is proving to be an effective means of providing quick solutions to public problems by acting as a bridge between the government and the people. The concerned officials informed that a total of 328 camps were organized in 13 districts of the state through camps held till January 14, 2026, including 2 new camps held today. ​​A total of 254,137 citizens have participated in these camps so far, with 2,730 citizens participating today.

Applications and Complaints Received

The concerned officials stated that a total of 26,814 applications were received in these camps, of which 26,722 applications were received till the previous day and 92 new applications were received today. Of these, 18,166 applications were in the complaint category, while 43 new complaints were registered today.

Status of Resolution

So far, 36,753 applications have been resolved, including 71 cases resolved today. In addition, 138,011 individuals in various districts have benefited from schemes and services, including 370 beneficiaries today.

Major Achievements District-wise

– Haridwar district saw the highest participation with 52,930 citizens and 10,846 cases resolved.

– Udham Singh Nagar had 25,193 citizens participating and 3,624 cases resolved.

– Nainital had 8,943 citizens participating and 1,825 cases resolved.

– Dehradun had 35,893 citizens participating and 1,638 cases resolved. – In Almora, 31,741 citizens participated in the camps and 5,307 cases were resolved.

– In Pithoragarh, 2,790 cases were resolved with the participation of 11,503 citizens.

– In Chamoli, 7,431 citizens participated and 1,029 cases were resolved.

– In Uttarkashi, 20,059 citizens participated and 3,468 cases were resolved.

– In other districts, including Bageshwar, Champawat, Tehri, Pauri, and Rudraprayag, a large number of public grievances were also resolved expeditiously.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that “Government for the people, at the doorstep of the people” is not just a program, but a symbol of the government’s sensitivity, transparency, and accountability. He said that the government’s objective is that no citizen should be forced to wander around with their problems, and that the administration itself should reach the people’s doorsteps.

The Chief Minister has instructed all District Magistrates and departmental officers to expedite the resolution of pending complaints and ensure quality solutions. He expressed confidence that this campaign will continue to bring positive changes in the lives of the people of the state.
