Dehradun: Under the double-engine government, Uttarakhand is reaching new heights. With various schemes being promoted, development is progressing rapidly. In this regard, the central government has released the second installment of ₹249.56 crore to the state of Uttarakhand under the Special Capital Investment Assistance Scheme 2025-26. This amount has been provided to the state government by the Department of Expenditure of the Ministry of Finance, Government of India. This assistance is expected to further accelerate important development projects in the state.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his gratitude to the central government, stating that this financial assistance will play a crucial role in strengthening Uttarakhand’s infrastructure, advancing public welfare development works, and creating new employment opportunities. He said that this support from the central government is a significant step towards the economic strengthening of the state.
Chief Minister Dhami further added that the Uttarakhand government is continuously working for the overall development of the state through coordination between the central and state governments. He clarified that the received funds will be utilized transparently and in a time-bound manner for capital projects such as roads, bridges, urban and rural infrastructure, drinking water, energy, and other development works, so that the general public can directly benefit from them.
He said that the state government will ensure that all projects are completed in accordance with quality standards and without any delays in their implementation. He stated that these projects will not only boost the state’s economic activities but also encourage local employment generation.
It is worth noting that so far in the financial year 2025-26, the central government has provided a total of ₹847.49 crore in the form of assistance loans to Uttarakhand. This financial support has given new impetus to various developmental schemes and projects in the state, which will strengthen the balanced, inclusive, and sustainable development of Uttarakhand.
