Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and CM Dhami participated in the 12th convocation program of Graphic Era Deemed University

Dehradun: Union Road Transport and National Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday participated in the 12th convocation of Graphic Era Deemed University in Dehradun. On this occasion, PhD titles and degrees were conferred on the students. Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari was also conferred the honorary degree of “Doctorate of Science” in the convocation. On this occasion, the Union Minister said that positive action will be taken by the Ministry of Road Transport on the proposal sent by the state government to solve the problem of jam in Dehradun.

Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, while wishing all the students, said that this day is a proof of the hard work, dedication and determination of the students. This degree is also a responsibility along with an academic degree. He said that our country has the largest number of young, talented and skilled human resources in the world. Our young talent is popular abroad. These talented youth are also wealth creators for our country, so our concept should be to give jobs rather than to ask for jobs. He said that the youth should have the courage to dream and also fulfill them. It is important to remain continuously engaged to achieve the goal. He said that only credibility, honesty, and the desire to do well can take you forward. The desire to learn should keep increasing continuously.

He said that many records have been set in the field of construction of bridges, tunnels, roads, highways in the past years. The Union Minister said that the Central Government is continuously working on green energy. Hydrogen gas is the fuel of our future. Work is being done to make hydrogen from organic municipal waste, which is a very cheap option. He said that he himself uses a vehicle running on hydrogen gas.

The Union Minister said that India is a country of youth, researchers and startups. There are CEOs of Indian origin in the top companies of the world, this shows the strength and talent of India. He said that we will also have to work on increasing the Domestic Happiness Index. Welcoming Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami described him as the Vishwakarma of modern India. He said that under the leadership of Gadkari, world-class expressways, green corridors, logistics hubs and roads are being developed rapidly across the country. The Chief Minister called upon the youth to use their knowledge and skills in building a developed India. The Chief Minister said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state government is also establishing Uttarakhand as a leading state in the field of education and innovation. By implementing the new education policy, courses like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Big Data are being conducted in the universities and research institutes of the state. Scientific research is being promoted by building science centers in Dehradun, Haldwani, Almora. The vision of the government is to make the youth future-ready. Incubation centers have been set up to promote startups and innovation. He said that the most stringent anti-cheating law of the country has been implemented in Uttarakhand. As a result, more than 23 thousand youth have been provided government jobs in the state in these 3 years.

On this occasion, Higher Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt, MLA Munna Singh Chauhan, Chairman of Graphic Era Prof. Kamal Ghansala, Chancellor and Member NITI Aayog Dr. VK Saraswat, Vice Chancellor Prof. Narpinder Singh were present.
