UP: IPS Ajay Pal was Granted a Selection Grade and Promoted to the DIG Rank

The departmental proceedings initiated under Rule 8 of the All India Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1969, against Dr. Ajay Pal, a 2011-batch IPS officer, have been officially terminated. Following the conclusion of these proceedings, the Governor has approved the following:

  1. Selection Grade Approval: Dr. Ajay Pal is granted the Selection Grade (Pay Scale: Pay-Matrix Level-13, ₹1,23,100–₹2,15,900), effective from the date of his junior officer, Mr. Rajesh S. (2011-batch IPS officer), receiving the same grade.
  2. Promotion to DIG: Dr. Ajay Pal is promoted to the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) with the corresponding Pay Scale: Pay-Matrix Level-13A, ₹1,31,100–₹2,16,600, effective January 1, 2025.

These decisions reflect the conclusion of administrative inquiries and acknowledge Dr. Ajay Pal’s eligibility for career progression in the Indian Police Service.
