Dehradun: Identity cards will be provided to hawkers soon. On the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Directorate of Urban Development has issued a letter to all the Municipal Commissioners, Executive Officers of the state to collect the details of hawkers and hawkers and issue identity cards and compulsorily display them on the cart.
Urban Development Director Nitin Singh Bhadauria has issued a letter to the Municipal Commissioners, Executive Officers of all the municipal bodies in this regard and has expected that they should collect the details of the urban hawkers working in their area to display their identity on the hawkers/carts. The identity card should contain the hawker’s code, name, address, photo, along with the name of any family member, category (fixed or movable), besides the hawking area where the identity card holder has permission for fixed or movable hawking, along with details of the validity of the permit. It has been clearly directed in the letter that all the hawkers of the city will have to issue identity cards to the hawkers and they will have to mandatorily display it.
