Dehradun: A total of 6 proposals have been approved in the cabinet meeting held in the Secretariat on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Among these, the formation of a special purpose vehicle named Dehradun City Transport Limited has been approved to improve the traffic system in Dehradun city. Along with this, the Uttarakhand government has also approved the Poultry Feed Subsidy Scheme. Under this, poultry farmers in the hilly areas of the state will be given subsidy in poultry feed. That is, a subsidy of Rs 10 per kg will be given in poultry feed. These 6 proposals were approved in the cabinet meeting
- The proposal regarding exemption in the Higher Percentage Rules 2017 for the payment of the amount spent on the North Zone Regional Conference held on 12 and 13 April 2025 in Dehradun district in collaboration with the National Judicial Academy, Bhopal and the High Court of Uttarakhand and the amount spent by the concerned institution has been approved.
- To overcome the shortage of poultry meat and eggs in the state as well as to promote self-employment, the state government approved the scheme related to giving subsidy in poultry feed to poultry farmers in 9 districts of the state.
- Approval was given to allot 9.918 hectares of land in village Fazalpur Mehraula, Rudraprayag to the District Level Development Authority Udham Singh Nagar for planned colony and commercial construction in the authority area in Udham Singh Nagar district.
- Approval was given for two posts in the Advocate Office in Nainital High Court. Approval has been given to create one post for Senior Chief Private Secretary and one post of Stenographer in the Stenographer Cadre
- Approval has been given to form Dehradun City Transport Limited to improve the traffic system in Dehradun city
- Approval has been given to table the ninth annual report of Uttarakhand Right to Service 2023-24 in the Assembly
Emphasis on providing self-employment from poultry: To overcome the shortage of poultry meat and eggs in the state of Uttarakhand, as well as to promote self-employment, to prevent migration, the establishment of boiler farm and poultry valley scheme is being run by the Animal Husbandry Department. But in the review of the Animal Husbandry Department, a major problem of poultry farmers has been found to be the high price of poultry feed. Due to which the Uttarakhand government has decided to give subsidy on poultry feed to poultry farmers. Which has also been approved by the Cabinet. Benefits will be available in 9 hill districts: The scheme related to giving subsidy on poultry feed will benefit the poultry farmers of 9 hill districts of the state, Almora, Chamoli, Uttarkashi, Pithoragarh, Champawat, Pauri, Bageshwar, Tehri and Rudraprayag. Under this scheme, in the initial year 2025-26, 816 beneficiaries will be benefited under the Boiler Farm Scheme and 781 beneficiaries under the Establishment of Poultry Valley Scheme. Under this scheme, a total feed subsidy of Rs 2 crore 83 lakh 85 thousand will be allocated. That is, under this scheme, poultry farmers will be given a subsidy of Rs 10 per kg on poultry feed.
Effort to improve the traffic system of the capital: The traffic system in Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand, remains a big challenge. In such a situation, now the Uttarakhand government has approved the formation of a SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle) named Dehradun City Transport Limited to improve the traffic system in the city of Dehradun. In fact, it has been decided to form a SPV named Dehradun City Transport Limited to operate the e-buses operated by Dehradun Smart City Limited, to operate the buses under the Pradhan Mantri E-Bus Seva Yojana and to organize the operation of the city bus service at present.
