New Delhi/ Dehradun: Uttarakhand cadre IAS Amit Singh Negi (IAS: 1999: UK) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office.
Earlier, Negi has handled important responsibilities in various departments of Uttarakhand. Apart from IAS Amit Negi, IAS Mangesh Ghildiyal is posted as Deputy Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office.
It is worth noting that the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) made a major reshuffle in IAS officers late on Tuesday evening. Fourteen officers have been given new responsibilities at the Additional Secretary level, while four have been appointed as Additional Secretaries by temporarily upgrading their posts.

Nidhi Chibber (IAS: 1994: CG) has been appointed as Additional Secretary of NITI Aayog.
TK Anil Kumar (IAS:19995:KN) is now Additional Secretary, Department of Rural Development, Ministry of Rural Development in place of Karlin Khongwar Deshmukh (IAS:1996:MP).
Dheeraj Sahu (IAS:1996:UP) is now Managing Director, Small Farmers Agribusiness Consortium, Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.
Manish Garg (IAS:1996:HP) is now Deputy Election Commissioner, Election Commission of India in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary by temporarily upgrading the post to the level of Additional Secretary.
Manisha Saxena (IAS:1996:AGMUT) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department of Personnel and Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions by temporarily upgrading the vacant post of DS/Director in the Department.
Karlin Khongwar Deshmukh (IAS:1996:MP) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Department of Social Justice and Empowerment.
Ravindra Kumar Agarwal (IAS:1997:KL) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Cooperation.
Punit Agarwal (IAS:1998:TR) has been appointed as Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
Amit Singh Negi (IAS:1999:UK) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office.
Mugdha Sinha (IAS:1999:RJ) has been appointed as Director General (Tourism) in the Ministry of Tourism in place of Manisha Saxena (IAS:1996:AGMUT).
Amandeep Garg (IAS:1999:HP) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.
Ajay Bhadoo (IAS:1999:GJ) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
Ashutosh Agnihotri (IAS:1999:AM) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department of Home Affairs, Ministry of Home Affairs.

Ashish Chatterjee (IAS:1999:TN) is the new Managing Director, Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, with the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.
