Uttarakhand Chief Justice Ritu Bahri retires, know who will be the new Chief Justice

Nainital: Uttarakhand High Court Chief Justice Ritu Bahri has retired today. Although her tenure is ending on October 10, but there is Dussehra holiday from October 9 (Wednesday), so today was Justice Ritu Bahri’s last working day in the High Court. In such a situation, a ‘tea party’ was organized in the High Court in her honor.

Senior High Court Judge Manoj Kumar Tiwari, Justice Ravindra Maithani, Justice Alok Verma, Justice Rakesh Thapliyal, Justice Pankaj Purohit, Registrar General Kahkasha Khan and other registrars, Member Secretary of SALSA, Senior Superintendent of Police Nainital Prahlad Narayan Meena, Uttarakhand Bar Council President Dr. Mahendra Pal, High Court Bar Association President Durga Singh Mehta, General Secretary Virendra Singh Rawat, Bhuvnesh Joshi, former President Avtar Singh Rawat, DK Sharma, MC Pant and DS Patni along with a large number of advocates and judicial officers were present in the tea party.

Ritu Bahri became the Chief Justice of Uttarakhand HC on 2 February 2024

Chief Justice Ritu Bahri took oath as the Chief Justice of Uttarakhand High Court on 2 February 2024, she is the first woman Chief Justice of Uttarakhand High Court. She was the Chief Justice of Uttarakhand High Court for about 8 months. Earlier, Ritu Bahri has been the Acting Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court.
