Chief Secretary Smt. Radha Raturi has issued instructions to the Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretaries and all the departmental secretaries to present the proposed and ongoing schemes/programmes etc. in the Hon’ble Cabinet meeting for consideration only after thoroughly testing/assessing and comparing them at the ground level.
Chief Secretary Smt. Radha Raturi has directed all departments to evaluate their current schemes and submit proposals for merging similar schemes.
CS Smt. Raturi has also directed to examine similar schemes of other departments while preparing a new scheme so that there is no discrepancy between the financial proposals of two departments. Along with this, she has directed to pay special attention to financial discipline and frugality in all the proposed schemes. The Chief Secretary has directed that the procedures for approval of schemes should be simplified so that there are no unnecessary delays and “time & cost over runs”.
Chief Secretary Smt. Radha Raturi has also directed the Public Works Department to make clear standards for road cutting and no department should repeatedly damage the road without the permission of the District Magistrate.
Chief Secretary Smt. Radha Raturi has given strict instructions to the concerned officers in her letter issued on the above subject and said that it is often seen that the proposed and ongoing schemes/programmes etc. in various departments are presented for consideration in the meeting of the Hon’ble Cabinet without properly testing/assessing and comparing them at the ground level, due to which the real objectives are not achieved. The Chief Secretary has instructed the officers to ensure necessary action in this regard soon.
