Rudraprayag/Chamoli: Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan visited Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham on Saturday, April 26. During this, he reviewed the preparations for the Chardham Yatra. Apart from this, he also gave some important guidelines related to the Yatra to the officials present on the spot.
Visit to Kedarnath
The doors of Kedarnath Dham are going to open on May 2. Before the opening of the doors, Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan reached Kedarnath Dham on Saturday. First of all, Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan reviewed the reconstruction work in Kedarnath Dham. After this, he also inspected the Bailey Bridge built on the Mandakini and Saraswati rivers.
Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan said that the work of the bridge has been completed, due to which the passengers will get more convenience and ease in coming and going. He also inspected the rain shelters built on Aastha Path. During this, he said that for the convenience of the passengers, LED signage should be installed in these rain shelters, so that the passengers can get clear information about where toilets, medical assistance and other necessary facilities are available.
The Chief Secretary especially emphasized that the passengers standing in the queue should be provided with hot water, so that they can get a comfortable experience even in cold weather. He also inspected the cleanliness system from the temple complex to the Astha Path built on the banks of the Saraswati river and checked the condition of the toilets installed there. Along with this, he instructed the officials of Garhwal Mandal Development Corporation (GMVN) that the repair of all the cottages built on the travel route should be completed on time and their cleanliness should be ensured.
He said that all arrangements should be completed in a timely and smooth manner so that no passenger faces any inconvenience during the journey. During the inspection, the Chief Secretary also inspected Rudra Point and Ghoda Padav. At these places, he reviewed the crowd management, drinking water, medical, rest and cleanliness arrangements of the passengers.
District Magistrate Saurabh Gaharwar informed the Chief Secretary that all the departments related to Kedarnath Yatra are working in mutual coordination. All the necessary arrangements from the Yatra route to the Dham area have been completed on time, whatever work is left will also be completed before the start of the Yatra.
Badrinath Dham
After Kedarnath Dham, Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan visited Badrinath Dham. The Chief Secretary inspected the works of the master plan going on in Badrinath and gave necessary guidelines. During this, he inspected the Arrival Plaza, Civic Enemy Center, Badish and Shesh Netra Lake, River Front and Hospital.
