Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami launches projects worth over Rs 8,000 crore

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami virtually launched 122 projects worth Rs 8,275.51 crore on Sunday.

Among these, Rs 1048.15 crore’s worth of projects from 11 departments were inaugurated, while foundation stones were laid for Rs 7227.36 crore’s worth of schemes from 15 departments.

At the event, Dhami also marked the introduction of prepaid meters by the energy department and distributed tool kits to registered workers under the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. He distributed allotment letters for solar energy projects among entrepreneurs and beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Solar Swarozgar Yojana.

Dhami also highlighted the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code, which said was aimed at ensuring gender equality and social justice. He said that Muslim women had thanked his government over the initiative and that the government was committed to providing inclusive governance.

Asserting the paramountcy of law and order, Dhami pronounced a zero-tolerance approach towards unrest and criminal activities. He said that swift and decisive actions were taken by law enforcement agencies to maintain peace and security in the state.

Dhami underscored the principle of “resolution without options” as the cornerstone of his government’s developmental agenda, citing foundation stones laid for projects worth Rs 18,000 crore, spanning infrastructure, healthcare, water resources, agriculture, housing, and rural development. He talked about the transformative impact of these investments on the state’s socio-economic landscape.

In pursuit of enhancing Uttarakhand’s economic prowess, Dhami outlined plans to double the gross state domestic product (GSDP) within five years. Additionally, he articulated strategies to foster innovation and best practices at the district level by 2025.

Dhami reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to position Uttarakhand as a model state through sustained efforts and progressive policies.
