Dehradun: Uttarakhand Congress is going to march to Raj Bhavan on 26th August against the deteriorating law and order situation in the state, laxity in disaster affected areas and vote theft. Giving information, State Vice President of Congress Party Suryakant Dhasmana said that the rule of law has ended in the state. Criminal elements are committing crimes in the state under the protection of BJP.
Dhasmana said that women are also not safe in the state and names of BJP leaders are coming up in every second crime committed against them. From Ankita Bhandari to the rape of a 13 year old innocent girl of Haridwar, incidents of rape have happened. Names of BJP leaders have come up in most of the cases of murder, rape and POCSO. But the BJP system is fulfilling its duties by issuing a two-line expulsion letter. Dhasmana said that Himanshu Chamoli, whose name came up in Pauri’s Jitendra Singh suicide case two days ago, has a long list of his black deeds. Now, crores of rupees have been defrauded with the nephew of former Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat. He has even issued a video threatening to commit suicide.
The remaining task has been completed by former Chief Minister of the state and Haridwar MP Trivendra Singh Rawat by writing a letter to the state’s DGP in a similar case. Apart from this, the way kidnappings were done and bullets were fired in front of the police in Nainital, Betalghat etc. during the Panchayat elections, it has become clear that the BJP is taking Uttarakhand on the path of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
He said that today the whole of Uttarakhand is disaster-hit. But no work is being done on the ground in the name of disaster management. The disaster has caused heavy damage in Dharali, Harshil in Uttarkashi. But the government has not been able to release the correct data on the destruction and loss of life there till date. Today, the travel routes to the four Dhams, NH, state highways are badly damaged. Hundreds of connecting roads are blocked. But the work to restore them is not being done at the pace it should have been.
Suryakant Dhasmana said that on August 26, Congress is going to fight a decisive battle on public interest issues. On this day, all the big leaders including Congress state president Karan Mahara, former Chief Minister Harish Rawat, Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya, former state president Pritam Singh, former president Ganesh Godiyal will participate in the march.
