Dehradun: The State Election Commission has sought a reply from the head of the Forest Department regarding the civic elections. The matter is related to the appointment of 159 candidates to the post of Forest Guard in the department. They have been appointed and deployed a day before. These candidates were waiting for appointment for a long time. These candidates were from the Forest Guard waiting list who were appointed after the approval of the government. But now the State Election Commission has sought a reply from the Chief Forest Conservator Hoff on the appointment of these candidates.
Actually, civic elections are going on in the state, so the Election Commission has sought a reply on this matter as a violation of the Code of Conduct for giving appointment. On the other hand, the State Election Commission has written a letter related to keeping the Indian Forest Service officers out of election duty, in a letter written to the Chief Forest Conservator Hoff, the State Election Commission has mentioned the instructions of the Supreme Court and said to keep IFSC officers in the state free from election duty. In this way, the election duty of IFS officers has been canceled during the civic elections to be held in the state.
The State Election Commission has also sent a letter to the head of the police department regarding the violation of the code of conduct. According to this, referring to the deployment of Deputy Superintendents of Police after their promotion in the state, the transfer of 46 police officers instead of 28 promoted police officers has been linked to the violation of the code of conduct. On this, the State Election Commission has also given instructions to suspend the transfer orders of the remaining 18 Deputy Superintendents of Police.
