Uttarakhand: Dhami government will deploy 84 bond-holding doctors in nine hill districts, list handed over to Chief Medical Officers

Dehradun: Nine hill districts of the state have got 84 new MBBS doctors. These bond-holding doctors, who passed out from Government Medical College Srinagar, have been deployed. Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said, the list has been handed over to all the Chief Medical Officers.

Minister Rawat said that the government is continuously working to upgrade health facilities in the medical units of the state. Along with this, health services are continuously improving with the deployment of specialist doctors, nursing officers and paramedical staff in various cadres.

In the same sequence, under the bond system, 84 bond-holding doctors passed out from Srinagar Medical College have been deployed in nine hill districts. Under the bond system, 15 doctors have been deployed in Pauri and Almora, 11 in Pithoragarh, 6 in Bageshwar, 9 each in Chamoli and Rudraprayag, 7 each in Uttarkashi and Tehri and 5 in Champawat.

The doctors will be deployed in hospitals in remote and mountainous areas on priority basis. All will have to join within 20 days. The doctors have been appointed on a fixed honorarium for five years under the bond system. On violation of the bond, strict action will be taken against them as per the terms of the contract.
