Dehradun: The State Cabinet meeting was held at the State Secretariat today on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. During this, the budget proposal for the financial year 2024-25 was discussed. The proposal for the Governor’s address on the first day of the budget session starting from February 26 has also been approved in the meeting. At the same time, the state budget proposal has also been approved. This time in Uttarakhand, a budget of about Rs 90 thousand crore will be presented in the assembly session.

Other decisions of the cabinet
- The tender for supply of drinking water from Song and Jamrani dams has been approved.
- Boring has been banned in the catchment area of the dam.
- Gangster Act will also be applied in cases of human trafficking, fake currency and child labour.
- Teachers of LT cadre will get the opportunity of inter-divisional transfers during their service period.
- Finance and Justice will be consulted on travel leave of employees.
- The tender for purchasing equipment in Badrinath and Kedarnath hospitals has been approved.
- There is relief from the limit of 12 meters on construction of houses for EWS.
- Mobile labs will be operated for school children in four districts of the state.
