The current situation is that about two and a half hundred roads are blocked across the state. Due to which the passengers are facing a lot of difficulties. The disaster secretary has appealed to the passengers traveling especially to the mountainous areas of the state not to travel during the rains. About 400 JCBs have been deployed to open the blocked roads in the state.

Heavy rains are continuing in Uttarakhand. Especially the Kumaon region of the state has come under the grip of disaster due to heavy rains. Many people got stuck due to heavy rains in Khatima and Tanakpur of Kumaon region. The relief rescue team had to face a lot of difficulties to evacuate them. According to the Meteorological Department, there is still a possibility of rain across the state for the next few days. In view of which an orange alert has been issued. Due to heavy rains, the situation in Nainital and Champawat districts has become very bad. Most of the roads have been obstructed in these two districts. Due to which traffic has come to a complete standstill at many places.

Disaster Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman said that continuous rain continues in the Kumaon region. Due to heavy rains, the lower area of ​​​​Kumaon region, Tanakpur, Khatima has been affected by waterlogging. About 25 people were stranded in Tanakpur, they have been evacuated. Also, some people are stranded in Khatima. Officers and rescue teams are present on the spot. Some people stranded in Khatima have also been evacuated. The evacuated people were taken to a safe place. He said that it is expected that there will be some relief from rain from tomorrow. All the main roads of the state are open. Some rural roads are obstructed. At present, the Chardham Yatra is going on. Chardham Yatra was stopped for just one day on July 7.

At present, any ban on Chardham Yatra has been lifted. The journey is going on normally. Yesterday, traffic was obstructed at some places of Badrinath Dham. Due to which there was some problem. At present, the journey is still going on. The disaster secretary has appealed to the people traveling on mountain routes to travel only after seeing the weather.
