Dehradun: Doctors who issued fake disability certificates will also come under investigation. Fifty-one teachers have obtained jobs in the Education Department using fake disability certificates. According to Education Department officials, the certificates were issued by doctors.
Director of Secondary Education, Dr. Mukul Kumar Sati, has issued notices to teachers in connection with the fake disability certificate case, summoning them with evidence within 15 days. The department will take further action after this. Education Department officials say that teachers were issued certificates based on locomotor, visual, and bone defects.
On the basis of these certificates, teachers secured jobs under the disability quota, but the department only considers the certificates when making appointments. Whether this is true or false, department officials cannot challenge it. If these teachers’ disability certificates are false or fraudulent, the doctors are also responsible.
In 2022, I had these teachers’ disability certificates verified through the State Medical Board. Many teachers’ certificates were found to be false. Such certificates were issued to the teachers by doctors from the Disability Board.
