Uttarakhand: Fake CBI officer raids doctor’s house, searches house for 2 hours, escapes after threatening when he does not find cash

Rudrapur/Kichha: A case of threatening a homeopathy doctor and his wife by posing as a fake CBI officer has come to light in Kichha police station area of ​​Udham Singh Nagar. Not only this, the fake CBI officer also house arrested the doctor and his wife for two hours. When the fake CBI did not find any cash at the spot, the person fled from the spot saying that he will arrange for cash. The police has taken cognizance of the matter and started investigation.

An unknown person posing as a fake CBI officer kept the doctor and his wife, who run a homeopathy clinic in Awas Vikas of Kichha police station area of ​​Udham Singh Nagar, under house arrest for two hours. During this time, the person who came as a fake CBI officer searched the house and clinic. When the person did not find any cash at the house and clinic, the person fled from the spot threatening to shoot them asking them to arrange for cash. After this, the victim doctor has informed the police about the matter. The police is investigating the matter.

A CCTV video related to the incident has also surfaced, in which a person in suit and boots is seen talking to the doctor in the clinic. In the information given to the police, Dr. Gaurang Mohapatra told that he runs a homeopathy clinic at his home in Kichha Awas Vikas. Like every day, he was sitting in the clinic on Wednesday as well.

Meanwhile, a person came to the clinic at around 2 pm and introduced himself as a CBI officer. Before the doctor could understand anything, he took his mobile and then his wife’s mobile in his possession. Dr. Mohapatra told that after that the person asked how much cash is present in the house and shop. When the doctor denied having any cash, he started threatening to shoot the doctor and his wife.

Meanwhile, the person started searching, when nothing was recovered from the spot, he went away threatening to shoot, asking to arrange the money. During this, the doctor and his wife were kept under house arrest for about two hours. Later, they informed the police about the incident. The police, who reached the spot after getting the information, have started investigating the case by scanning the CCTV footage.

CO Sitarganj Bhupendra Singh Dhoni said that a team has been formed to investigate the case. Surveillance is also being used. Soon the case will be solved and action will be taken if the culprit is found.
