He mentioned Uttarakhand’s winter tourism in the program. He said that Uttarakhand’s winter tourism is attracting a lot of people these days. He said that places like Auli, Munsyari, Chopta, and Dayara Bugyal are becoming very popular during the winter season. PM Modi said that winter has arrived, and so has the time for winter tourism. He said that many countries around the world have made winter tourism a major part of their economy. Many countries have the world’s most successful winter festivals and winter sports models. These countries have made experiences like skiing, snowboarding, snow trekking, ice climbing, and family snow parks their hallmarks.
These countries have also transformed their winter festivals into global attractions. PM Modi said that our country also has the potential for winter tourism. We have mountains, culture, and immense possibilities for adventure. PM Modi said that people are enjoying Uttarakhand’s winter tourism these days. In his Mann Ki Baat address, PM Modi said that the state’s first ultra marathon was held at Adi Kailash, at an altitude of over 14,500 feet in Pithoragarh district. More than 750 athletes from 18 states across the country participated.
