Dehradun: Financial officers of the state will now be trained not only at the time of recruitment but also with promotion. The government has released the training syllabus for the officers of the financial services cadre. For the first time, preparations are being made to train finance officers in the state as well as abroad during their service period.
The training syllabus has been released by Additional Chief Secretary Finance Anand Vardhan. In fact, till now, there was a nine-month training course for the officers of Uttarakhand Finance Services cadre at the time of recruitment. Since new changes have been constantly coming in the finance sector. Therefore, the government has also made a provision for training in the finance services cadre during the service period. Accordingly, the Finance Department has prepared the syllabus.
Now Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Financial Training and Research Institute, Sudhowala has started working on implementing it. Under this, after the initial training of nine months, as the financial officers get promoted, they will have to do the course. These courses will be conducted in the institute located in Sudhowala, national level institutes as well as international level institutes.
These new subjects are included in the training course
UPI, e-wallet, e-Rupi, computer hardware, software, networking, cyber security, artificial intelligence, e-stamping, e-challan, e-receipt, e-kuber etc.
Focus on stress management and healthy life in the course
The courses started by the government for financial officers after promotion, have a special focus on stress management and healthy life. So that as the responsibilities of the officers increase, they can do better financial administration without stress. In many courses, life management has also been included along with financial management.
These courses after promotion
Senior Scale Grade-2, Pay Level 11 and Senior Scale Grade-1 Pay Level-12, after three years of service: Three weeks course, in which two weeks course in the institute located in Sudhowala and one week course in any reputed institute.
On Selection Grade Pay Level 13: Two weeks of training, one week in the institute located in Sudhowala and one week in any reputed institute. On completion of two years in Special Scale Pay Level 13A and on Super Time Scale Pay Level-15: 10 days course, six days in the institute located in Sudhowala and four days in any reputed institute.
Now courses have been issued for finance officers on promotion during service as well. So that they can be updated with the changes from time to time. On the lines of IAS, efforts are being made to provide training not only in the country but also in foreign institutes as per the new course.
