The government has released Rs 15 crore for the players who won medals for Uttarakhand by performing well in the 38th National Games. Sports Minister Rekha Arya gave information in this regard. Sports Minister Rekha Arya said that in order to encourage the players of the state to perform well in the 38th National Games, the government had doubled the cash prize money. So far in the history of National Games, such a cash prize money has not been given in any state for winning gold, silver and bronze medals. She said that the total number of players who won medals for the state in individual and team events is around 240.

Sports Minister Rekha Arya said that she had raised this issue before the Chief Minister in the cabinet meeting last week. She said that she is very grateful to the Chief Minister for the way Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took prompt action on her request. The government has now released a total amount of Rs 15 crore for this item. Sports Minister Rekha Arya said that by organizing a program as soon as possible, all the medal winners will be distributed their cash prize money. He said that the process is also going on to give out of turn government jobs to the medal winners. This will also be completed as soon as possible.
