Dehradun: Employees in the state will be given a respectable farewell on retirement. Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has issued guidelines to all the officials in this regard and asked them to follow the orders. For this, written orders have also been issued to all the officials. According to this, the dues of retired officers and employees have also been asked to be settled quickly.
Retired employees will get a respectable farewell
There is a tradition and rule of giving a respectable farewell to the employees who have completed the age of superannuation in government service. But now for this, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has also issued written orders to all the officials. The Chief Secretary has given instructions to the senior officers of the government as well as various department heads and district magistrates on respectable farewell and settlement of dues.
The Chief Secretary gave this order
The Chief Secretary has clarified that information is being received from various departments and offices about the delay in payment of dues of retired employees. While the Finance Department has already issued an order regarding simplification of the payment system. In such a situation, action will have to be taken to make quick payment to the employees who have completed the age of superannuation.
Employees will be honored on retirement
During this, instructions have been given that a farewell felicitation ceremony should be organized in the offices of the Head of Department, Corporation, Board, Commission and all the undertakings on the last day of every month in case of retirement, in which such employees should be honored.
The amount due on retirement will be paid quickly
Action should be taken to make quick payment of the employees’ dues during the farewell ceremony. In this felicitation ceremony, the order for payment of pension, gratuity, leave encashment, group insurance and 90% of the amount deposited in GPF should also be given to the employee. In the felicitation ceremony, the retired employee should be presented with a memento and a shawl. So that the employee can get better respect on completion of his service and the rest of the employees are also motivated towards their service.
