Uttarakhand: Government employees will not be able to make reels, officers will also be tight, social media policy will be implemented soon

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed the government to make a social media policy. Actually these instructions have been given due to controversial posts or WhatsApp messages made many times by government officers and employees. Social media policy will be implemented in the month of January.

It has happened many times that government employees and officers freely express their opinion on the issues of the state on social media platforms. This often has a direct impact on government work and work. Keeping all these things in mind, now the government wants to make a social media code of conduct for employees and officers. In which government employees can post messages and posts related to government schemes and work but cannot give their opinion on any other platform or in political discussions. In the last few years in Uttarakhand, some controversial posts have also been made by some officers and employees. Which has now been taken cognizance of by the government. Under this policy, government employees and officers will not be able to do reels, music or any other work which violates the employee rules. According to the information received from the Chief Minister’s Office, this policy can be implemented in the month of January. Earlier, social media policy has also been implemented in Uttarakhand Police. Earlier IPS Abhinav Kumar had implemented this policy. It was often seen that some employees were constantly making videos in police uniform and creating a ruckus on social media. In view of which the social media policy was implemented.
