Dehradun: After the final selection result released by the Medical Service Selection Board, 40 candidates included in the waiting list have been selected. On Monday, Health Minister Dhan Singh Rawat handed over appointment letters to all these selected candidates. In this way, the Health and Family Welfare Department has got 40 more nursing officers. The Health Minister congratulated all the selected nursing officers and directed them to make their important contribution in improving health services in the state.
During the appointment letter distribution program organized at the Directorate General of Health, the minister said that the selected nursing officers have been deployed in all the hospitals across the state. Recruitment for 1564 posts of nursing officers was done in the Health Department through the Medical Service Selection Board. In comparison to which the board released the final selection result of 1411 candidates. Out of which the Health Department had issued appointment letters to 1394 newly appointed nursing officers, while only 1354 nursing officers have joined.
After this, the board cancelled the candidature of the candidates who did not join and handed over the list of 40 candidates selected in the waiting list to the Directorate General of Health. Appointment letters were distributed to them while giving them deployment in various hospitals. 8 nursing officers have been appointed in Pithoragarh district, 6 in Pauri district, 5 in Almora district, 4 each in Tehri, Haridwar, Rudraprayag and Nainital districts, 2 in Dehradun and 1 nursing officer each in Uttarkashi, Bageshwar and Champawat districts.
Earlier, the department had also given deployment to 1394 selected nursing officers in various districts. In which 128 nursing officers were deployed in Chamoli district, 116 in Uttarkashi district, 111 in Tehri district, 69 in Rudraprayag district, 231 in Pauri district, 73 in Haridwar district, 59 in Dehradun district, 74 in Udham Singh Nagar district, 97 in Pithoragarh district, 146 in Nainital district, 61 in Bageshwar district, 76 in Champawat district and 153 in Almora district.
