Uttarakhand is going to get PCS officers, DPC held in Public Service Commission for promotion quota

Dehradun: Uttarakhand is going to get Provincial Civil Service i.e. PCS officers soon. A meeting of DPC i.e. Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) was called for promotion quota in Uttarakhand Public Service Commission. In which names were discussed for promotion from Tehsildar to PCS.

Actually, in Uttarakhand, promotions are to be done from Tehsildar to PCS under promotion quota. For which DPC was held in Public Service Commission today. In the DPC meeting, the names of Tehsildars were discussed on the basis of seniority. It is reported that a total of 7 names were discussed in it. A list was given by the Revenue Council regarding the promotion of senior Tehsildars. The names were discussed in the DPC meeting. These names discussed for promotion of permanent Tehsildars

The names discussed for promotion of permanent Tehsildars include Bhagat Singh, Nandan Singh Nagnyal, Arun Kumar, Sohan Singh, Sushil Kothiyal, Priyanka Rani and Lalit Tiwari along with some other names. In this way, brainstorming has been done regarding the promotion of these Tehsildars. However, it is believed that due to adverse entries of some Tehsildars, promotions will not be available on all posts.

10 posts of promotion quota are vacant

Apart from direct recruitment of PCS, some posts of promotion quota have been kept in Uttarakhand. On which promotions are done after DPC from time to time in relation to the vacant posts. Currently, there are 10 vacant posts of promotion quota in the state. Out of which DPC has been done to fill seven vacant posts. However, only Tehsildars fulfilling all the eligibility criteria will get a chance for promotion.

After the DPC meeting, the Public Service Commission will approve it. After which the final order will be issued on it at the level of Personnel Department. After promotion from Tehsildar to PCS, there will be promotions to Tehsildar post in future. Naib Tehsildar will get a chance for promotion on the vacant seats after fulfilling the eligibility criteria. Uttarakhand Public Service Commission Secretary Girdhari Singh Rawat confirmed the DPC meeting on ETV Bharat.
