Uttarakhand: Kumaon Commissioner Deepak Rawat in action after CM Dhami’s displeasure, inspected on the ground

Haldwani: Recently, in front of CM Pushkar Dhami in a review meeting in Haldwani, public representatives had raised questions on the work being done under the Jal Jeevan Mission. Also, it was said that the road dug for the scheme was not repaired. On which CM Dhami had expressed displeasure over the implementing agency. After which Kumaon Commissioner Deepak Rawat has come into action. In this episode, Commissioner Rawat came out on the streets and did a field inspection of the work of laying pipelines and sewer for drinking water under Jal Jeevan Mission. Along with this, he also gave strict instructions to the officials.

Kumaon Commissioner Deepak Rawat said that the work of drinking water and sewer line is being done by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Haldwani city. Instructions have been given by Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami that the roads dug for drinking water and sewer should be re-established with quality. It has also been said that is the quality being taken care of or not? After which today he has instructed the project manager to repair the roads in the areas of the city where the road has been dug for drinking water and sewer line.

Commissioner Rawat said that about one and a half hundred kilometers of drinking water line has been laid in Haldwani city. Due to which the thirst of the city dwellers is being quenched. At the same time, during the inspection, Commissioner Rawat found the quality of drinking water and sewer lines satisfactory. He told the ADB officials that in the areas where the drinking water lines are to be tested, the roads should be repaired by getting the lines tested soon. He also instructed the ADB officials to work with quality and timeliness.
