Uttarakhand : Major bureaucratic rejig likely after June 4

Dehradun: In latest news from Uttarakhand, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami may re-jig bureaucracy once the counting  of the Lok Sabha elections is over on June 4.  Sources close to him said that the CM is unhappy with the performance of a number of senior bureaucrats on matters related to forest fires and Char Dham Yatra management. The fury of the wildfires engulfing a large swathe of the State spanning Garhwal and Kumaon regions made him rush back cancelling his campaigning plans in other states. Then came the Char Dham Yatra and its initial stage exposed the glaring mismanagement by the State government vis-a-vis the pilgrims’ rush and abysmal arrangements for the enormous footfalls.

It is almost certain that the State government is all set to constitute a separate board to be entrusted with the Char Dham Yatra management
