Uttarakhand: Monsoon session to be held in Bhararisain from August 19, government will bring supplementary budget proposal

Dehradun: In the monsoon session starting from August 19 in Bhararisain Assembly located in summer capital Gairsain, the state government will present a supplementary budget of about five thousand crores to meet the financial needs of various departments.

On Friday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami chaired the cabinet meeting through virtual medium from Uttarkashi. In the meeting, first of all tribute was paid to the people killed in the disaster. Then in the cabinet, the Finance Department proposed to present the supplementary budget in the monsoon session. After discussing it department-wise, the cabinet approved it.

The supplementary budget is estimated to be around five thousand crores. In the cabinet, Secretary Disaster Management Vinod Kumar Suman gave a presentation of rescue and relief operations in the disaster in Dharali and Sainji village of Pauri district.

Chief Minister Dhami has been camping in Uttarkashi for the last three days for rescue and relief operations in the Dharali disaster. He visited Dharali area and met the affected people. Also, he held a cabinet meeting through virtual medium.

Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj, Forest Minister Subodh Uniyal, Animal Husbandry Minister Saurabh Bahuguna, Rural Development and Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi joined the cabinet from Dehradun. Let us tell you that the monsoon session will be convened in Bhararisain from 19 to 22 August. For this, the Assembly Secretariat is finalizing the preparations.
