Uttarakhand: No new incident of forest fire in 24 hours – Chief Secretary

Dehradun: There has been relief from forest fire in Uttarakhand due to change in weather since late night. Chief Secretary Radha Raturi said that there has been no new incident of fire across the state in the last 24 hours.

During the review meeting of forest fire incidents in the state chaired by the Union Home Secretary, the Chief Secretary said that the incidents of forest fire have been continuously decreasing for the last two days. 0.1 percent forests have been affected by forest fire in the state. At the same time, strict action will be taken against those propagating wrong data in this regard.

He said that the government and administration have put their entire strength into forest fire control. CM is also continuously reviewing and monitoring this. He said that officials have also been instructed to reduce the response time. At the same time, the help of Air Force has also been taken.
