Uttarakhand: Opposition created ruckus over Panchayat elections on the first day of the session, Congress raised questions on law and order

Gairsain: Before the start of the assembly session in Bhararisain, Gairsain, the summer capital of Uttarakhand, the Congress was seen in a tough mood. With banners and slogans of “Vote Chor Gaddi Chhod”, the Congress appeared in the mood for a fight to the finish over the alleged anarchy in the panchayat elections.

Just as it was expected, the atmosphere of the assembly premises was seen before the start of the monsoon session. All the Congress MLAs arrived together, raising slogans of “Vote Chor Gaddi Chhod” and making several serious allegations and protesting against the government.

Allegation of BJP strangling democracy: In fact, all the Congress MLAs had arrived together in the Vidhan Sabha Bhawan located in Bhararisain under a complete strategy. While talking to ETV Bharat, Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya said that the way the Bharatiya Janata Party has strangled democracy, a living example of it was seen in Nainital district, where the BJP’s rule has been exposed.

Loot of votes in Nainital: Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya said that not only votes were stolen but votes were looted in Nainital on the strength of guns and swords. The government did not even take cognizance of it, but the Nainital High Court itself took cognizance of it.

Opposition demanded dismissal of the government: He said that today the way the entire opposition is protesting in one voice outside the House against the law and order situation in the Panchayat elections, in the same way, inside the House too, under Rule 310, today the opposition will unite and demand the dismissal of the government. Along with this, action will be demanded against the Nainital DM and SP.

Demand for resignation of Chief Minister: Apart from this, senior Congress leader Pritam Singh said that just as vote theft is a national issue in the whole country, similarly votes have been stolen in Uttarakhand as well. He said that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is trying to tell the whole country with evidence about vote theft in the whole country that how BJP is number one in vote theft. Now a living example of this was also seen in Uttarakhand. Whether it is about reservation in Panchayat elections or the anarchy in Nainital district, if the government has even a little shame today, then the Chief Minister should resign.

The government took action against the victims in Nainital: Congress woman MLA Anupama Rawat said that the Bharatiya Janata Party is bent on strangling democracy today. People are losing faith in the democratic system of the country. She said that the Nainital incident is the most living example of this. In Nainital, instead of taking action against the accused, the government has taken action against the victim and opposition leaders and filed a case.

Leader of Opposition and Congress MLAs were manhandled: Haldwani MLA Sumit Hridayesh, who witnessed the incident in Nainital, said that the extent to which the hooliganism of the Bharatiya Janata Party has increased in the state can be gauged from the fact that the Leader of Opposition and Congress MLAs were manhandled and the government did not care.

Congress’s allegations on Nainital District Magistrate and SSP: Apart from this, Sumit Hridayesh says that the District Magistrate and SSP of Nainital district should be made the Mandal President of BJP. The badges on their shoulders should be put with the BJP’s lotus flower. He said that the elections in which this irregularity has happened should be conducted again.

Sumit Hridayesh says that he has had a historical experience in Haldwani and Nainital not only politically but also socially. There was a time in UP that booth capturing happens, but today open loot is being seen in the Bharatiya Janata Party government. This has been seen under the nose of the High Court. He said that today the Congress is in no mood to make any concessions and from the House to the streets, the Congress will destroy the government brick by brick.
