Dehradun: The most important ceremony of the Silver Jubilee year, the parade, was held today in a grand manner. Police personnel displayed their strength and discipline at the Police Line grounds. Distinguished personalities were also honored on this occasion. Several police officers and employees were also awarded the Commendable Service Medal.
The parade, which was held on State Foundation Day, was held today. This event used to be held on November 9th, but due to the Silver Jubilee year, it was held two days earlier due to numerous events in the first week of November. The police personnel, marching in perfect discipline and in perfect step, won the hearts of everyone present.
Several prominent personalities were also honored at this Silver Jubilee event. Among those honored were the Uttarakhand Gaurav Award for their commendable work in various fields. Shooter Jaspal Rana was honored.
Additionally, entrepreneur Dev Raturi was presented with the Uttarakhand Gaurav Award. The late Tom Alter was posthumously honored with the Gaurav Award, which was received by his son, Jimmy Alter. The late Sushila Colony, the late Gaura Devi, geologist Pranav Valdiya, the late Tilu Rauteli, and the late Shailesh Matiyani were also posthumously honored with the Uttarakhand Gaurav Award.
During the parade, several officers and police personnel from the police department were honored with the Commendable Service Medal for their meritorious service. These included IG Kumaon Riddhim Agarwal, Dehradun SSP Ajay Singh, IPS Shweta Choubey, and Sarita Doval. The focus of this silver jubilee celebration was on the Chief Minister’s announcements. The Chief Minister made a total of 11 announcements from the venue, promising to fulfill them in the future.
CM Dhami’s Announcements
- It was announced that all agricultural land in the state would be surveyed and settled phase-wise within five years.
- A State Cyber Crime Coordination Center will soon be established in the state.
- The Chief Minister also announced the expansion of the Anti-Narcotics Task Force.
- A welfare fund for Bhojan Mata will soon be established under the Pradhan Mantri Poshan Yojana.
- A farm fencing policy was also announced to protect crops from wild animals and stray cattle.
- A special conservation scheme for the conservation of natural water sources will also be implemented soon.
- Online skill courses will be made available for students in higher educational institutions for skill development.
- Online coaching for civil services, NIT, banking, and management will also be provided.
- The Kedar Khand Mandir Mala Mission will also be developed on the lines of the Manas Khand Mandir Mala Mission.
- Model Rudraprayag will be developed along the lines of Model Champawat.
- The Purnagiri, Sharda Corridor, Adi Kailash, Anjani Sain, and Bela Kedar areas will be developed as Spiritual Economy Zones.
- Special clinics for type 1 diabetes will be opened in each district hospital. Students up to 15 years of age will be screened for diabetes free of charge.
