Dehradun: Keeping in mind the current scenario, a Sarvadharma seminar was organized at Raj Bhavan on Saturday. Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (Retd), Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami and representatives of all religions participated in this event and showed their commitment towards the unity and integrity of the country. The Governor said that today we all are standing together here away from the boundaries of religion, caste and opinion and are looking alive like our army standing on the borders and the soul of India. He said that being a former soldier, I know that the biggest strength of a soldier is his family, his country and his morale and today’s seminar is a symbol of strengthening the morale of the soldiers.

The Governor said that the basic message of all religions is the same. He said that Hinduism teaches Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah, while Sikhism looks at everyone with the spirit of Ekam. Buddha says that be your own lamp, while the principle of Jainism is that non-violence is the ultimate religion. The Governor said that our army is striking hard on terrorism and those who spread terrorism through Operation Sindoor. He said that our daughters are constantly bringing information about Operation Sindoor to us through Colonel Sophia Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh and both of them are also demonstrating the strong mother power of a strong India.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami said that whenever our nation had to face war-like situations, at such times people of all faiths, sects, communities and sects of the society have to come together and give the message of national unity, brotherhood and peace. Whenever the country has faced a crisis, Indians have faced it unitedly in the interest of the country, rising above religion, caste, language and region. It is also said in our Vedas, “Sangacchh Dhvam Samvadad Dhvam Sam Vo Manansi Jantaam.” That is, “Let us all walk together, think with one mind, and move towards one goal.” The basic objective of religion is to establish truth, love, compassion and harmony in the society. The Chief Minister said that in Treta, Lord Shri Ram established religion by killing Ravana. In Dwaparyuga, Lord Krishna inspired Arjuna to fight a religious war against unrighteousness in Kurukshetra. Guru Govind Singh Ji sacrificed his entire family to protect religion and the country. Jesus Christ gave the message of love and forgiveness and Prophet Mohammad showed the path of harmony. All our religions have always taught that when injustice raises its head, then keeping quiet is also promoting injustice. Our nation has always stood in favor of religion, truth and justice. The Chief Minister said that the brave land of Uttarakhand has always presented an example of patriotism, sacrifice and renunciation. Our brave soldiers have increased the pride of the nation in every struggle, today we also have to stand firmly with them.
