Uttarakhand: Secretary Shailesh Bagoli directed the immediate repair of drinking water lines damaged by the disaster.

Dehradun: Secretary of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, Shailesh Bagoli, along with department officials, inspected the Bijapur, Bandal, Kesarwala, Purkul, and Shahanshahi Heads and the damaged pipelines connected to them and directed the immediate repair of the drinking water supply system.

It is known that the disaster on September 16th disrupted the supply from these sources, affecting approximately 2.35 lakh people in areas such as D.L. Road, Karanpur, Kalidas Road, New Cantt Road, Rajpur, Chukkhuwala, Lower Raipur, Kiduwala, Purkul Village, Saloni Village, Jakhan, Vijaynagar, Dhakpatti, etc.

The Secretary directed that the supply from the Bijapur, Bandal, and Kesarwala Heads be temporarily restored by the evening of September 17th. Departmental officials stated that approximately 1.35 lakh people will receive drinking water supply by the morning of September 18th, while work on the remaining sources will be completed by the evening of September 18th. Subsequently, water supply will be ensured for the remaining 1 lakh people by the morning of September 19th. The departmental control room number 18001804100 and helpline 1916 have been issued for any complaints related to drinking water.
