Uttarakhand to hold second Pravasi Sammelan on November 5th, over 600 people registered

Dehradun: November 9th, 2025, marks the 25th anniversary of Uttarakhand’s foundation day, and the Uttarakhand government is organizing a variety of events to mark the occasion. The government has announced that various events will be held across the state from November 1st to 9th. As part of this initiative, the Uttarakhand Pravasi Sammelan is being held in 2025, similar to the one held in 2024. Over 600 Pravasi Sammelans have registered for this event, scheduled to be held at Doon University on November 5th. Uttarakhand residents from various states and parts of the world will once again gather in the capital, Dehradun.

According to information from the state government, this conference will be held in two sessions. Participants from different states and countries will share their experiences and perspectives on Uttarakhand’s 25-year journey. These migrants will also provide suggestions to the state government to make the state more prosperous and economically strong. The first session will focus on the environment, while the second session will focus on issues such as education, women’s empowerment, and health. Officials from various departments will be present, along with individuals who have excelled in their respective fields.

A statement issued by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stated that this conference is being organized to bring together the migrants, actively connect them with their homeland, and ensure their participation in the state’s development. Our experiences with previous events have been very encouraging. I cordially invite the migrant Uttarakhandis to this conference, which is being held on the occasion of Uttarakhand’s silver jubilee year. The suggestions of the migrant Uttarakhandis will play a crucial role in developing a roadmap for Uttarakhand’s development.

This year, the Dhami government is celebrating Uttarakhand Foundation Day as the Silver Jubilee year. The Uttarakhand government is convening special sessions on November 3rd and 4th, prior to the State Foundation Day. During the special session, the ruling party and the opposition will discuss the state’s development, and also provide suggestions and brainstorm on a future roadmap to help Uttarakhand achieve its place among the best states in the country.
