Dehradun: Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) MD Anil Yadav’s extension is in discussions these days. On which there is a lot of rhetoric in the state. At the same time, there was a dispute between Energy Secretary Meenakshi Sundaram and the convenor of the Unemployed Union Bobby Panwar regarding this. On Tuesday, November 12, UPCL MD Anil Yadav presented his side on all these controversies by holding a press conference.
UPCL MD Anil Yadav has rejected the allegations of 400 crores fraud, disproportionate assets and money in his son’s account. He also said that he has been the MD of UPCL for three years. Apart from this, he has also been the MD of Pitkul. During this time, there has been no irregularity in his tenure.
Responded to Bobby Panwar’s allegations
Let us tell you that the convenor of the Unemployed Union Bobby Panwar also held a press conference in Dehradun and made several allegations against UPCL MD Anil Yadav and raised questions on his extension (service extension). However, UPCL MD Anil Yadav has rejected all the allegations of Bobby Panwar.
He has said that the issues on which questions are being raised against him are baseless. All the allegations being leveled against him are from the time of his tenure as MD in Pitkul (Power Transmission Corporation of Uttarakhand Limited), which the government says is wrong.
Also responded on service extension controversy
UPCL MD Anil Yadav and Energy Corporation officials have rejected the allegations of corruption. The MD has said that giving service extension is a matter of the state government. The rules for educational qualification, experience and service level and other conditions of the Managing Director and Directors of the three corporations under the Uttarakhand government have been issued in 2021. Under the provisions contained in this rulebook, service extension is given by the state government. Also, the selection for the post of Managing Director and Directors is done for five years. After a tenure of three years, the government gives an extension of two years.
Allegations of 400 crore fraud rejected
At the same time, the MD of UPCL, while presenting his side, said that in the year 2014, after doing B.Tech, his son did a three-month internship in Dehradun. At that time he was posted as the Chief Engineer. He had taken written approval from the then MD to get his son’s internship done. In three months, 40 thousand rupees came in his son’s account, which was not any kind of bribe, but was for the internship. But by exaggerating the 40 thousand rupees, a ruckus is being created about 400 crore fraud and property worth 400 crore.
Anil Yadav said that he did not plead in the High Court in the case of M/s Ishaan, but when this case was in the High Court, he was not MD Pitkul. Also, regarding the quality of 18 transformers of M/s IMP, Anil Yadav says that all these transformers were correct, they were operated in the wrong way. Also, in the matter of the quality of these transformers, IIT Roorkee, CPRI Bangalore have also stated the correctness in their report. The questions being raised on the 18 transformers bought from IMP company between 2014 and 2016 are still working properly.
