Uttarakhand will get 455.60 crores from SDRF fund, Union Home Ministry approved, Dhami expressed gratitude to the Center

Dehradun: The central government has approved an amount of 1,066.80 crores for six flood and landslide affected states including Uttarakhand. In this, Rs 455.60 crore has been approved to Uttarakhand as a central share from the State Disaster Relief Fund (SDRF).

States have been affected due to extremely heavy rains, floods and landslides during the southwest monsoon this year. There has been damage due to disaster at many places in the state. Teams are working continuously to provide relief in the affected areas. According to the officials of the Disaster Management Department, with the receipt of this amount, reconstruction work etc. will be possible at the public property which has been damaged due to the disaster. At the same time, Chief Minister Dhami has expressed gratitude to the Center for approving the amount.

In this regard, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said in a post on X that the Modi government stands firmly with the states in every situation. Today, the Central Government has approved Rs 1066.80 crore as central share under SDRF for flood and landslide affected states Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Kerala and Uttarakhand. This year more than Rs 8000 crore has been provided to 19 states from SDRF-NDRF fund. Apart from financial assistance, providing all logistical support including deployment of necessary NDRF Army and Air Force has been our priority
