Dehradun: The state government is busy preparing for the upcoming assembly budget session. However, the Finance Department is constantly taking suggestions from stakeholders and the public, so that the budget can be prepared in accordance with public sentiments. In such a situation, Finance Minister Premchand Agarwal has announced the dates of the assembly budget session, under which the session will be convened in the Vidhan Sabha Bhawan in Dehradun between February 18 and February 24.
In fact, the Uttarakhand government had earlier announced in this regard that the upcoming budget session would be convened in Gairsain, but recently the Speaker of the Assembly Ritu Khanduri had requested the state government in a press conference that the preparations for holding the assembly budget session in Gairsain are not complete, while the assembly building in Dehradun has been completely prepared. Therefore, the budget session should be held in the Dehradun Assembly building itself. In such a situation, now the state government has decided to hold the assembly budget session in Dehradun itself.
Finance Minister Premchand Aggarwal said that the budget session 2025-26 will be held in Dehradun between 18 and 24 February. Important suggestions have been received from various sections of the state such as traders, farmers, small industries and people associated with education etc. He said that important suggestions have been included in the budget of Uttarakhand. Premchand Aggarwal said that keeping in mind the public interest sentiments, the budget will be brought in the direction of including the state in the list of leading states of the country. He said that suggestions have been taken from more than 200 stakeholders from across the state. This budget will realize the vision of development of the person standing in the last row of the state.
