Uttarakhand’s GST collection increased by 12.19 percent, achieved 13th position in the country

Dehradun: A review meeting was held at the Finance Minister’s residence regarding GST collection. In which the department officials said that better results are coming in GST collection. In last month’s GST collection, the department has received a revenue of Rs 6100.95 crore. Last year, till this period, GST collection was Rs 5437.85 crore.

On Friday, Finance Minister Dr Premchand Agarwal held a meeting with senior officials of the GST department on various subjects including GST Collection Vyapari Samman Yojana. In the meeting held at the government residence, Commissioner GST Ahmed Iqbal said that in this year’s GST collection, revenue of Rs 6100.95 crore has been received till November. He said that compared to last year, this year there has been an increase of 12.19 percent in GST collection.

The Commissioner said that Uttarakhand has secured 13th position in SGST collection in the entire country. On this, the Finance Minister praised the working style of the officers and asked them to innovate towards increasing the GST collection further. Finance Minister Premchand Aggarwal said that the mega draw of Bill Lao Inam Pao Yojana should be organized soon. So that prizes can be given to the winners. He said that a company like PRD should be deployed for security at the posts built in the state’s border. So that accidents can be curbed by the presence of security personnel in the posts. Commissioner Ahmed Iqbal, Special Commissioner IS Brijwal, Additional Commissioner Anil Singh etc. were present on this occasion.
