UTTRAKHAND: UKSSSC Paper Leak Case: CBI Summons Bobby Panwar, Questioning Tomorrow

Dehradun: After making its first arrest in the UKSSSC paper leak case, the CBI has now summoned former Barozgar Sangh President Bobby Panwar. The CBI has summoned the former Barozgar Sangh President Bobby Panwar for questioning on Monday. The CBI will question Bobby Panwar in the UKSSSC paper leak case.

Bobby Power was the first to approach the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (USSSSC) after three pages of the question paper were leaked at an examination center during the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission’s graduate-level recruitment exam held on September 21st. Bobby then exposed the paper leak to the media.

The UKSSSC conducted the graduate-level exam on September 21st. During the exam, screenshots of the paper began circulating on social media. The Unemployed Association alleged that the paper had been leaked. Police filed a case at Raipur police station. Upon investigation, it was found that the paper originated from the center in Bahadurpur Jat, Haridwar. A candidate, Khalid, sent the paper to his sister, Sabia, via a mobile phone hidden at the center. Sabia sent it to Assistant Professor Suman Chauhan, who taught at Shaheed Shrimati Hansa Dhanai Government College in Tehri Garhwal.

Police detained Suman Chauhan on September 22nd. After questioning, Khalid was arrested. Following a preliminary investigation, Khalid’s sister, Sabia, was also arrested. The police investigation found that Suman was not intentionally involved in the conspiracy, but rather, was unaware that the paper was related to a competitive exam. Consequently, she was released on the pretext of cooperation in the investigation.

Following this, a CBI inquiry was demanded. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, who arrived at the protest site, recommended a CBI investigation. After completing government formalities, the CBI filed a case on October 26th. The CBI, after preliminary investigations, found Suman Chauhan to be involved in the conspiracy and arrested her on Friday. The accused was produced before the CBI Special Judge on Saturday, where she was remanded to judicial custody.

Meanwhile, former Unemployment Association President Bobby Panwar said, “It’s been a while since the CBI investigation began, but we haven’t received a summons yet. But better late than never. We’ve received a summons for Monday.” He added, “We will fully cooperate with the CBI investigation. We were the ones who requested the CBI in this case.”
