Vineet Nair and Madhur Agrawal Appointed Directors in MHA Under Central Staffing Scheme

Two senior officers, Vineet Satyanarayanan Nair from the Indian Defence Estates Service (IDES) and Madhur Agrawal from the Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS), have been selected by the Central Government for key roles as Directors in the Ministry of Home Affairs. The appointments, formalised by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) on May 26, are part of the Central Staffing Scheme and are effective for five years or until further notice upon assuming office.

Nair, a 2011 batch IDES officer, was recommended for central deputation by the Ministry of Defence, while Agrawal, from the 2009 batch of IRAS, was recommended by the Ministry of Railways. The DoPT has instructed the respective ministries to facilitate their immediate release to assume their new responsibilities at the Ministry of Home Affairs.
