New Delhi: The Central Government has approved the entrustment of the additional charge of the post of Director of Financial Intelligence Unit – India (FIU-India) on Friday.
According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), the Competent Authority has approved the proposal of the Department of Revenue for the entrustment of the additional charge of the post of Director of Financial Intelligence Unit-India to Aggarwal for a period of three months from the date of assumption of charge by the officer until a regular incumbent is appointed or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Aggarwal is a 1994-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) of the Madhya Pradesh cadre. Presently, he is serving Additional Secretary in the Department of Revenue under the Ministry of Finance.
Financial Intelligence Unit – India is an organisation under the Department of Revenue, Government of India which collects financial intelligence about offences under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002.
