Waves Film Bazaar: Filmmakers from India and abroad show interest in shooting in Uttarakhand

Dehradun: Pavilions from various countries and various Indian state governments have been set up at the Waves Film Bazaar, held at the 56th International Film Festival of India in Goa. The Uttarakhand Pavilion has been a major attraction for filmmakers and directors at the Waves Film Bazaar, which runs from November 20th to 24th, 2025.

Dr. Nitin Upadhyay, Joint Chief Executive Officer and Nodal Officer of the Uttarakhand Film Development Council, stated that Uttarakhand participated in the film bazaar. Filmmakers from India and abroad learned about the state’s film policy at the Uttarakhand pavilion. Filmmakers from Bengali, Tamil, Malayalam, Gujarati, Marathi, and other languages ​​have also expressed interest in shooting their films.

The support and facilities provided by the state government were appreciated. Many foreign producers and directors have agreed to shoot in Uttarakhand. Filmmakers were also informed about the upcoming Raj Jat Yatra in 2026 at the Film Bazaar, with several foreign filmmakers discussing plans to shoot documentaries.
