West Bengal: IPS Reshuffle, Jawed Shamim To Look After Anti-Corruption Branch

The government of West Bengal has recently carried out a minor police reshuffle in the state after the horrendous Kolkata-Rape Case.

Mr. Jawed Shamim (1995 batch), last posted as the Additional Director General (ADG) of the Intelligence Branch (IB) holding the additional charge of Director Security, was asked to look after the work of the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) in place of Mr R Raja Sekaran (1997 batch). IPS Manish Joshi, who was the ADC to the Governor of West Bengal, has been made the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADCP) of Bidhannagar Division in the Bidhannagar City Police.

Officer Joshi will be replaced by IPS Santi Das, who was the Additional Superintendent of Police (Addl. SP) of the West Bengal Human Rights Commission (WBHRC).
